We had reservations for 14, our party had communicated with them earlier in the day, and when we walked in, they told us They didn't take reservations and told us to go somewhere else. WTF?? We come up here every year, and they won't ever get our business...

This place has the best Reuben in northern Michigan! The fries were hot, the sandwich was hot, the gumbo was excellent and the beers were cold. We’ll be back!

Great little place awesome wings but the bbq in the wings should be put on the side as it has a bit of a bite. The lady that waited on us was very personable and nice think it was Helen. Great popcorn too

Went on Wednesday night, place was empty and requested table outside. They refused as it was table for 6 so they sat me inside at a table for 6. Way to keep customer happy? Table outside never got sat during entire visit. When I left I let them know how disappointed and how I would never come back due to there lack of customer focus. Owner got livid over my comment and kicked me out. Not interested in customers input. I’ll never go back, poor management. Food was ok but flies were terrible. I don’t recommend.

Didn’t even get to come out and have what could have been an enjoyable meal because of the horrendous service I received over the phone. I was amazed by how incredibly rude the man who answered the phone was. I tried to inquire about the approximate wait for 8 people and he was so disrespectful and condescending. I wish I would have asked for his name so I could alert the management of his disregard for their customers. So sorry to have inconvenienced this place by attempting to pay them a visit.

Stopped in for a quick bite. There were empty tables outside, asked to be seated there. Was told no as my party was not 6 (picnic table) and was sat indoors at a table for 6.?????Blond lady was not nice about it. Food was okay. White fish was nothing special and overpriced. Other guest had gumbo said it was good. The empty outdoor table remained empty. They sat a single diner at a 4 seater on patio. Again, ??When we tried to offer suggestion to improve customer service, they became angry and we were asked to leave. Sorry we spent $50 on experience. Seems like in these times a small spot would be trying to keep customers happy and coming back. Not here, it's obvious they do not care about their customers at all.Too bad, North Port used to care!!Terrible flies, nearly lost my appetite.

Pulled pork sandwiches are out of this world. Haven’t had a bad meal there. I honestly can say everything is very well made homemade and made with care. Very yummy food.

Mediocre beer selection and kind-of a strange vibe. If you want a flirty male bartender, this is the place.

My best friend Tom Olson guided us to this great eatery. The menu is great and the food is better. The local asparagus was outstanding tonight as were the ribs and smelt. Top shelf service from AnnaThanks Herb, another wonderful evening at the Garage

When I was there the food was good but the worst part was the employees there were completely rude I tried to help out one of my friends that drank too much and one of the employees threatened me! Also be careful at night someone was roofied there by an employee!

I was a repeat customer until last night. We've been completely ignored in the past but we overlooked it as food was good. It's the way they are. We waited for 30 minutes last night to be seated which is no deal but we had to go find someone to ask about being seated after waiting at entrance for 10 minutes. The rude man that we found should have been our first clue that it wasn't a good choice for dinner. He told us in a very condescending tone you better be here when I call you. We're not coming to find you. Pork is in at least 50% of the menu items. We came for the pork. It is known as a barbeque restaurant. After being seated and offering drinks the server told us "oh, by the way we're out of pork". They should have told us or had it on the editable menu board at entry. We paid for our drinks and explained we'd try again when pork was back. If this guy is the manager, they need to find a new manager. If this guy is the owner, he needs to find a new line of work.

Was super excited to get a table for 8... but we wanted to know the wait time over the phone the guy we talked to was super rude ... we did not deserve to be talked to like that ... right then and there we decided not to go there because if they’re rude over the phone why do they deserve our business. We ended up at Boons and highly recommend that ! So disappointed with this “garage” place

Beer was good and cold, shared the 420 burger with an order of onion rings. That burger was amazing and the onion rings tasted fresh made. Best meal out in quite a while. Service was top notch also.

Dirty and flies everywhere. Stressed staff. Put paper on filthy, sticky tables as we sat down. Trendy?... I'll take a cleaner place next time.

Really good smoked half chicken and roasted sweet potatoes. The place was crowded so I had to sit at the bar. As a non-drinker, I'm used to getting the stink eye from the bartender when I order pop at the bar. In this case it was cheerfully provided. I appreciated that. I understand they smoke the meats onsite. Nice.

I wish I had stopped there, the stop sign must have triggered my visit. Mabe next time!

Great pulled pork slider. The sweet potato chips with the garlic aioli are, alone, worth the drive. We really liked our food.

Such a tremendous little bar and grill. The burgers are outstanding! I love a good burger and this place would have me as a regular if I lived close enough. Great atmosphere and good service. I'd highly suggest if you want great food.

Shared the Reuben with the wife, glad we did cause it was HUGE!!, and it was amazing, to say the least. Best Reuben I have had anywhere.... Fast friendly service, and the beer is literally ice cold, like fingers freezing to the glass cold, best ever.

Absolutely the best bar in Northport! From the staff to the environment, to the extremely amazing and friendly, family orientated staff members. The cuisine is on another level, from a large variety of special fish dishes and sandwiches. Also smoked ribs, chicken, and the best sandwiches and burgers your tastebuds could ever desire! A must stop spot on the famous M-22 highway in Michigan. And Don forget to order some drinks!

Can't wait to go back! We we're starving, looking for lunch and decided to try Garage Bar & Grill. Great funky little place in Northport!! We sat at a picnic table outside (covered by umbrellas) and enjoyed a beautiful day/lunch. Our waitress was super friendly and their menu makes it hard to decide! So many delicious options to choose from and house made everything 🤩. We will definitely be back to try more!
